Businessman Sudhir Bajaj likes to give back to his community, regularly involving himself in various charity fundraising opportunities and events. Bajaj sees value in improving the lives of others, and through his charitable contributions he can have a direct impact on this goal. Most recently, Sudhir Bajaj participated in the 5th Annual Round Table India Open golf tournament at the Hyderabad Golf Club. The event was organized by members of the Hyderabad Deccan Round Table 189 as a way to raise money for Freedom Through Education (FTE). FTE is an initiative led by Round Table India to build educational infrastructure to support the education of India’s children. Currently, India’s existing educational buildings can’t host the millions of children in India, resulting in many children not attending school whatsoever. Bajaj sees the problem in this, as many children grow up illiterate and intellectually isolated. Himself a holder of two Master’s degrees, Bajaj wants to encourage children to attend school so they, too, can achieve a successful career like his. Sudhir Bajaj also works closely with LUV4wrd, a social networking platform that encourages users to share messages of love and happiness. Since other photo-sharing mediums also host images of negativity, LUV4wrd is unique in hosting only positive messages. Additionally, the Atlanta-based platform has partnered with local business FLIP Burger, which donates ¢50 to Mercy Center each time a user shares an image with the hashtag “LUV4” attached. Mercy Center is Atlanta’s only healthcare resource for the homeless, and Bajaj sees potential in the app to drive social change and reduce the city’s homeless population.
